10 ways to start your morning off right

Starting off your morning right can make or break your entire day, getting out of bed and getting something productive done right away is a sure fire way to carry momentum over into a day that gets a lot done and that you can feel good about. 

Most of the ways that I know how to influence your day all assume that you start off your day right, so making the right first moves in your day is totally crucial to the productivity and outcome of your entire day.

Want to get more done at 5pm? Start the day right. Want to get more done at 1 pm? Start the day right. Want to be more positive, motivated, energetic, and determined? Start the day off right!


  1. Workout 

There is a reason that working out is one the secrets of productive people. There are numerous benefits to working out, and one of the major ones is that a workout, especially first thing in the morning, sets up the momentum and the energy to tackle the entire day.   1. Read an inspiring book

Ever tried reading something inspirational first thing in the morning? It will PUMP you up.

Ok, but seriously, reading something that speaks to you and helps stokes the embers of passion inside of you will definitely get you out of bed and into getting things done. Try reading something by the greats like Tony Robbins, Stephen Covey, or Napoleon Hill. Even biographies can be a great source of inspiration!


  1. Watch a motivational video

Try watching the video in the link above, I created it for exactly this sort of purpose, to get you motivated and into action. Life is heavy at times and it can take some effort to get ourselves ready to go out and face it with enthusiasm and gusto. Watching a motivational video is one of the first things I do every morning and it has helped me work a full time job, exercise 2 times per day, run MYBS full time, and still find time to be a good boyfriend, and if I can do it, so can you, trust me!


  1. Make a daily schedule 

Creating a daily schedule is a productive process that reminds you of what you need to get done, and it can also place a focus onto the things that you need to do each day that will ensure that you wake up in the life of your dreams one day. It is easy to get caught up in the difficulty of each moment, but a daily schedule sets our focus on what we really need to get done so that we spend less time thinking and more time doing the things we need to.


  1. Get something important done

Get up, get out of bed, and go do SOMETHING. It doesn’t really matter what you choose to do as long as you get up and get something important done first thing. It could be organizing, cleaning, finishing an assignment or project, but just make sure to start the day with productivity, because falling into the black hole called facebook or youtube can be a death sentence for your day.


  1. Meditate


Meditation is an excellent way to clear your mind, get focused, relax, and become one with everything. Want to get more in touch with your productive side? Try meditating on it. You can visualize, you can sit quietly, or you can mediatae, but getting into your mind and releasing the world for a little bit can help you start each day with a fresh new vigor.


  1. Review your goals

Reviewing your goals in the morning can provide the same benefits as setting a daily schedule. It reminds you what is important and why you are doing what you are doing. doing things that are hard is…well, hard, but when you do things that are hard for a reason it makes it a little easier to get it done.


  1. Remember everything you have to appreciate

Getting in a PMA (positive mental attitude) can be a big boost to your daily productivity, because how you feel when you start your day will carry over into the rest of your day as well. Take a few moments and think about or even write down what you are grateful for, what you appreciate in your life, and how many blessings that you have in your life to be grateful for. Just getting in a better mood will help you feel better about getting more done.


  1. Do something nice for someone

We all have experienced the feelings that we get when we help someone, it is almost always rewarding, motivating, and even a little bit liberating as well. Try starting of your day with doing a favor for someone, surprising someone you love or care about, or even just giving or sending a gift to someone special. It can bring great joy into your life to give back and contribute happiness to others and that happiness is contagious!
